Space Soldiers seal first EU place at Pro League S7 Finals

Space Soldiers are the first European team to secure a spot at the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals after winning Wednesday's fixtures.

The Turkish side breezed past HellRaisers 16-8 and 16-6 to improve their record to 16-6 in the league and assure themselves of a spot at the season finals, which will be held in Dallas next month, with four matches left to play for them.

It comes as a huge boost for Space Soldiers, who will be in attendance at DreamHack Masters Marseille next week, where they will hope to build on their recent runner-up finish at the WESG World Finals.

Space Soldiers make the finals in their first Pro League season

Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli's side are the third confirmed team for the event, following in the footsteps of NRG and Liquid, who currently occupy the top two places in the North American division and also have qualification in the bag.

Europe will have an extra qualifying spot at the Pro League Finals when compared to previous seasons as a result of the event's expansion from 12 to 16 teams. The recently-created Asia-Pacific division will have two qualifying spots, while the final place will go to the winner of the ESL Latin America League.

The ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals will run from May 14-20, with two quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the title decider being played at the Verizon Theatre. The team list for the event currently looks as follows:
